Section 69 of The Bengal Village Self-Government Act, 1919 — Dismissal of case for default

If in any case before a union bench the petitioner fails to appear on the day fixed, or if in the opinion of the bench he shows negligence in prosecuting his case the bench may dismiss the case for default, and such order of dismissal shall operate as an acquittal.
