Privacy Policy

EasyActs.in is a free, public library of Indian legislation. This page explains what happens to your data when you use it. The short version: we use Google Analytics to understand traffic, and collect nothing else.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and sends it request data — including your IP address, pages viewed, and general device/browser information — under Google's own privacy policy. You can opt out with a browser extension such as the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking googletagmanager.com and google-analytics.com with an ad/tracker blocker.

What we don't collect

Beyond Google Analytics, this website:

• sets no other cookies;
• stores nothing in your browser's local or session storage;
• runs no advertising or ad-tracking scripts;
• loads no other third-party scripts, fonts, or embeds;
• has no user accounts, sign-up, or login, so there is nothing to register;
• asks for no personal information at any point.

You can verify this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, load any page on this site, and check the Network, Cookies and Storage panels — the only non-origin requests you should see go to Google Analytics.

What our server necessarily processes

Serving a web page requires receiving a request. Like any website, our hosting provider processes standard technical information in order to deliver pages to you — your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, and your browser's user-agent string. This is inherent to how the internet works and is used only to serve the site and keep it secure and available.

Our hosting is provided by Hostinger, and traffic is routed through Cloudflare. Both process request data as part of delivering and protecting the site, under their own privacy terms.

Search

Search on this site runs entirely in your browser against an index downloaded with the page. Your search terms are not sent to us, logged, or stored anywhere.

External links

Some pages link to external sources, most often India Code (indiacode.gov.in), the Government of India's official repository of legislation. Once you follow such a link, that site's own privacy policy applies. Original Act PDFs are served from this domain rather than hot-linked, so reading one does not disclose your visit to any third party.

Children

This site collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If the site ever begins collecting data — for example by adding analytics — this page will be updated before or at the same time as that change, and the “last updated” date above will change accordingly.
