Practical examples
1Suppose a member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly submits an urgent question about sanitation projects in a Municipality. Under Section 50 of the Act, the Secretary, Mr. Raju, prepares the official reply and sends it directly to the Government department to meet the tight legislative deadline, subsequently placing a copy before the Chairperson, Mrs. Sindhu, for her information.
2Suppose a performance audit team issues a report flagging issues in road maintenance expenditure. Under Section 50 of the Act, the Secretary must personally ensure that follow-up actions are taken to resolve these audit findings rather than leaving it to the Council or other departments.
