Section 58 of The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority Act, 2008 — Dissolution of Hyderabad Urban Development Authority and vesting in the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority

(1) On and from the date of dissolution of the Hyderabad Urban Development Authority and Special Development Authorities under the provisions of the Telangana Urban Areas (Development) Act, 1975, the assets and liabilities of the such Authorities shall vest in the Metropolitan Development Authority and all officers and employees of the said dissolved authorities shall be deemed to be the officers and employees of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority.

(2) The supporting staff of the Metropolitan Development Authority shall be minimal and any new staff shall be appointed on contract basis (including experts for technical work), as may be necessary for the efficient performance of its functions and the Metropolitan Development Authority may outsource the supporting functions like protect management, development management, legal functions, contracts and tendering, layout planning, architectural services, engineering works and projects including their preparation, design, implementation, through public-private partnerships.
