Section 1 1. Shop$ %tae.-mb Act may be called the Jammu and Kashmir Nationalis, - a of Fureat Working Act, 1978.
Section 2 2. Dt?ltaaiWer'bt,c- Kn this Act, all expressions used but not defined shall have Sbe same meaning as is assigned to them under the Forest Act, Samvat 1978.
Section 3 3. Ban on Forest Working by private persons.-Notwithstanding anything to the contrary con4ained in any law, rule, instrument, agree ment or contract or in any judgement, decree or order of any court or authority-
Section 4 Vesting of timber in the State.-Notwithstanding. anything to the contrary contained in any law, rule, instrument, a~eement or con- tract or in any judgement, decree or order of any Court or authority-
Section 5 Right of the Government to recover the amounts.-Nothing shall effect, abridge or take away or be deemed ever to have effected, abridged or taken Away the right of the Government to recover any amount payable to it on account of royalty, intercst, compensat'm or any ot!~er sum chargeable from any person under any law, rule, agreement contract or instrument or order of any autholity, before the commencement of this Act and every such right of the Government shall continue to be valid and enforceable and shall always be deemzd to have been valid and enforceable in law, notwithstanding that such law, rule, agreement, contrac! or instrument or order of <any authority, ceased to have effect at any time before the commencement of thi, Act.
Section 6 Payment and determination of amount.--In respect of timber for which amount is payable under the Jammu and Kashmir N'ationali- sation of Forest Working Ordinance 1986 (V of 1986) and which has not been paid, there shall be paid an amount to be determinsd in- accordsncc with the followine: nincniles by an authority to be appoint- & b> '%verrri.r
Section 7 Working of Forest by Forest Department and the Jammu and Kwhmir State Forest Corporation saved.
Section 8 Rights of persons entitled to timber on concessional rates saved
Section 9 Penalty.
Section 10 Powers to make mles.-The Government may make d o 1 for carqying out the purposes of this Act.
