Section 3 of The Gujarat Municipalities (Extension of Term) Act, 1962 — Extension of term of office of councillors

Notwithstanding anything contained in any relevant municipal law or in any notification, order or bye-law made thereunder, the term of office of the councillors of the municipalities specified in the Schedule shall be extended up to and inclusive of the 31st day of March, 1963, and accordingly, the term of office of such councillors which would, but for the provisions of this Act, have expired before the said date shall be deemed to be extended up to that date.
