Section 16 of Th E Assam Ele Me Ntar Y Ed Uc at Ion Act , 1968 — Powers and duties of the Secretary

The Secretary of the State Board shall be the Principal Administrative Officer of the Board and shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may be required for carrying out the purposes of this Act. He shall also perform such other duties and exercise such other powers as may be prescribed, provided the Secretary shall be subject to control of the Executive Committee in respect of such matters as may be delegated to the Executive Committee by the State Board under section 14(2) of this Act.
