This law amends the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act in Arunachal Pradesh to change the threshold for certain provisions and introduce a system for compounding offences. It modifies Section 1 by replacing the word twenty with fifty in a specific context. Most importantly, it adds a new Section 25A that allows employers to pay a fine to resolve violations of labour laws without facing full prosecution, provided the offence is not repeated. The fine amount depends on the number of workers in the establishment, and this option is only available for the first three similar offences committed.
