22.

(1)The Director of Student Affairs shall be a whole-time salaried officer and shall be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor with the approval of the Board.
(2)The emoluments and other terms and conditions of service of the Director of Student Affairs shall be such as may be prescribed.
(3)The Director of Student Affairs shall perform the following functions and duties, namely:,
1. (a)to make arrangements for the housing of students;
2. (b)to arrange programmes of student counselling;
3. (c)to arrange for the employment of students in accordance with the plans approved by the Vice-Chancellor;
4. (d)to supervise the extra-curricular activities and look after the general needs of the students;
5. (e)to assist in the placement of the graduates of the University;
6. (f)to organise and maintain contact with the alumni associations of the University;
7. (g)to establish liaison between students and teachers;
8. (h)to perform such other duties as may be assigned to him by the Vice-Chancellor.
