20.

(1)The Director of Extension Education shall be a whole-time salaried officer of the University responsible to the Vice-Chancellor. He shall be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor, subject to the approval of the Board, in accordance with the Statutes made in this behalf. He shall be responsible for the co-ordination of all extension education programmes of the University in close co-operation with the Deans of faculties and other officers.
(2)The emoluments and other terms and conditions of service of the Director of Extension Education shall be such as may be prescribed.
(3)The Director of Extension Education shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be prescribed.
