Amendment of section 127 Amendment of section 127.- In the principal Act, in section 127, in sub-section (1), for the punctuation mark "." appearing at the end, the punctuation mark ":" shall be substituted and thereafter, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:- " Provided that the Municipal Board or the Town Committee may, on an application made by the owner of the building or the land or both, in such form as may be prescribed, reduce or remit the property tax for a period not exceeding one year, in case of any natural calamity or disaster or any other exigency if it is satisfied that the building or land or both remain vacant without yielding any rent."
