In the principal Code, sub-section (3) of Section 13 shall be substituted as follows, namely:- "If the Sub-Registrar fails to take action within the time period prescribed under sub-section (2), the marriage, divorce or declaration of nullity of marriage, as the case may be, shall automatically get forwarded to the Registrar, and if the Registrar fails to take action within the prescribed time period, it shall get forwarded to the Registrar general.".
