18. A Pro Vice-Chancellor may be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor with prior approval of the Chancellor in such manner as may be prescribed by Statutes and Pro-Vice Chancellor shall exercise such power and perform such duties as may be prescribed by the Statutes.
