Section 379 of THE KARNATAKA MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS ACT, 1976.

Duty of expelling lepers, etc., from markets and private

markets.- The person incharge of a market shall prevent the entry therein of, and shall expel therefrom, any person suffering from leprosy in whom the process of ulceration has commenced or from any infectious or contagious disease who sells or exposes for sale therein any article or who, not having purchased the same, handles any articles exposed for sale therein; and he may expel therefrom any person who is creating a disturbance therein.
