Section 35 of KARNATAKA ACT NO. 36 OF 2025

Electoral rolls.- (1) For every ward, there shall be an electoral roll which shall be prepared, revised, modified, updated and published in accordance with the provisions of this Act and under the superintendence,

direction and control of the State Election Commission.

(2)Only one Councillor shall be elected for each ward and election shall be by secret ballot.
(3)A person whose name has been included in the electoral roll of a Ward, as prepared by the State Election Commission shall be entitled to vote in an election to that ward.
