Section 5 of UTTARAKHAND WATER MANAGEMENT AND REGULATORY ACT, 2013

A person shall be disqualified for appointment as the Chairperson or a member, if he :- (a) has been adjudged as insolvent ; or (b) has become physically or mentally incapable of acting : or (c) has been convicted and sentenced to imprisonment for any offence involving moral turpitude; or (d) has acquired such financial or other interest as is likely to affect his functions as the Chairperson or a Member; or (e) has so abused his position as to render his continuance in office prejudicial to the public interest ; or (f) is a Member of Parliament, or of any State Legislature or any local Commission or is a candidate for election thereto; or (g) is an active member of a political party or holds a post therein.
