Section 84 of THE BANGALORE WATER SUPPLY AND SEWERAGE ACT, 1964

(1)The Board may with the previous approval of the State Government may, make regulations to carry out the purposes of this Chapter. ¹[(2) In particulars and without prejudice to the foregoing provision, such regulations may provide for the charges to be paid to the Board by occupiers of trade premises for the reception of trade effluent into Board sewers and disposal thereof.]
(3)In making any regulation under this section, the Board may provide that a breach thereof shall be punishable with fine which may extend to ²[five thousand rupees] and in case of continuing breach with an additional fine which may extend to ¹[five hundred rupees] for every day during which the breach continues after receipt of a notice from the Board to discontinue such breach.
